Families - Schools Resources for Parents and Schools to Strengthen School Communities

Recent research shows that all students experience learning losses when they are not engaged in summer learning activities. On average, students lose about two and a half months of grade equivalency in mathematical computation skills alone. Furthermore, teachers spend between 4-6 weeks re-teaching material that students have forgotten over the summer months. This month's Family-Schools newsletter highlights resources to address summer learning loss and provide information, tips, and ideas to help keep learning active during the summer break.

To view these resources, go to the Family - Schools website.
