Welcome to Supporting Successful Early Childhood Transitions!
SSECT provides education and support for Family Centered Early Supports and Services (ESS) providers, schools, parents and others to ensure the transition process from ESS to preschool special education and/or other community resources is a positive experience for all and is consistent with state and federal guidelines
Our Philosophy
We believe that when families and staff work together as a team, the best possible transitions occur for children and families, and for the agencies that serve them. All team members need knowledge and skills regarding the transition process and how to work together. They need to know their roles in developing each child's and family's plan for transition as well as regulations, procedures and timelines that guide the transition process. Having a common understanding makes the transition process as smooth as possible for the child, the family and the staff who serve them.

Making Transitions Successful!
The NH Rules for the Education of Children with Disabilities requires school districts to enter into Interagency Agreements with their local Area Agencies. SSECT has been working to facilitate regional agreements for early childhood transitions. View current Interagency Agreements below.
