Special Education Law & Advocacy Training

October 23, 2008

9:00 – 4:30 pm (lunch included)

Greater Concord Area

 

This seminar will focus four areas:

«      Special education law, rights and responsibilities;

«      Tests and measurements to measure progress & regression;

«      SMART IEPs; and

«      Introduction to tactics & strategies for effective advocacy

 

As part of the registration fee, all participants will receive materials specific to the NH laws and regulations, and copies of two Wrightslaw books – 

«      Wrightslaw: Special Education Law, 2nd Edition, (Retail: $29.95) - This book contains the complete text of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, the complete regulations, Section 504, FERPA, McKinney Vento, and the landmark U. S. Supreme Court cases

«      Wrightslaw: From Emotions to Advocacy, 2nd Edition. (Retail: $19.95).

 

This program is designed to meet the needs of parents, educators, health care providers, advocates, and attorneys who represent children with disabilities regarding special education, and is not disability specific.
