PIC On Special Education. Provides telephone assistance, workshops, and information related to special education.
NH Connections. Provides technical assistance, workshops, and resources to enhance school/school district strategies of parent involvement in special education.
SSECT (Supporting Successful Early Childhood Transitions). Supports the transition from Early Supports and Services to preschool special education.
AFC (Advocates for Families of Children with Disabilities). Provides consultations and technical assistance.
MICE (Multi-Sensory Intervention through Consultation and Education). Referrals and evaluations for any child ages 0-3 suspected of having a visual or hearing impairment.
NH Family Voices. Library and resources for parents with children with disabilities or special health care needs.
Prevention Makes Cents. Helps prevent and reduce the incidence of child abuse and neglect through school-based prevention education and parent support programming.

Parent Information Center Services for Schools


The Parent Information Center is committed to providing schools with high-quality services and products for assessing needs relative to parent engagement for general or special education. We can assist in action planning, convening groups for input sessions, training, and monitoring results.

PIC on Special Education – Services for Schools

The staff of the Parent Information Center on Special Education project believes that when all IEP Team members have information about their roles, rights and responsibilities, they are able to work more effectively together.  PIC on Special Education provides telephone assistance to school personnel and other professionals regarding the special education process and can also provide strategies and print materials to professionals to help them support parent participation in the special education process.  PIC on Special Education can also partner with schools to provide parent trainings on the special education process or professional development trainings (for a small fee).  Please see PIC on Special Education’s workshop brochure and the www.nhspecialed.org website for more information.  

School TeamsNH Connections – Services for Schools

NH Connections provides technical assistance over the phone and in-person to school personnel who have questions about strategies to enhance parent involvement in your school district. NH Connections can attend Regional Special Education Administrator team meetings to offer strategies to enhance parent involvement in special education and to improve the results of Indicator B-8: Family Involvement in Special Education. The facilitator can attend a School District team meeting to offer strategies to enhance local strategies of parent involvement. Please see the NH Connections website for more information.

SSECT – Services for Schools

SSECT provides phone assistance, workshops and face-to-face technical assistance to Family Centered Early Supports and Services (ESS) providers, school district personnel and other professionals to ensure the transition process from ESS to preschool special education and/or other community resources is a positive experience for all and is consistent with state and federal guidelines.  SSECT can assist ESS and School Districts personnel in understanding and meeting compliance requirements, the development of policies and procedures, the development of forms and tools, and the completion of corrective action plans.  SSECT also provides follow up assistance in the implementation of regional Interagency Agreements.  More information and resources can be found on SSECT’s website.
