Section 504 & IDEA: What’s the Difference? If you have ever been unsure about which law applies to your child, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) or Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, or you would like to be more clear on the definitions and purpose of IDEA and Section 504, this workshop will benefit you. Participants will be provided with a brief overview of the process used to determine eligibility for Section 504 or IDEA. The major similarities and differences between the two laws will also be discussed.
