My son had ADHD and an IEP which has been very helpful until this year in MIDDLE SCHOOL (5th grade)! He had a social emotional eval which was SO off, he was observed during a spelling test (too much pressure)and stated that he was very depressed and would be a cutter and we should watch him etc... He sees a psychiatrist and he disagreed with this as well, but they refuse to take it out of his file!! UGH
Another issue is that he does his homework and then can not seem to get it to the teacher, when I got his progress report he had zero's I did go into school and ask about this and we looked in his desk and locker (there they were)and they said that he would still have the zero!! School policy is that he will have a zero after the 2nd day.. My question... What leg do I have to stand on???? I can only do so much, do I go in with him every morning and make sure they get the homework that takes us 2 hours to do at night and then he gets a zero on!!!!
