My 12 year old coded lerning disabiled and other medical condition is due for a re-evaluation for her IEP. The last one used was an independant neuropsych evaluation which we were very pleased with and the elementry school paid for. We have requested that instead of doing the school academic testing required, instead repeat the neuropsych evaluation that was much more efficient, helpful and generated a report and plan that was more poinent to her abilities. We responded in writing in the required timeframe. We were told no and a meeting is set up. What is our recourse? Any help is greatly appreciated. How does an appeal process work? Do we have to go through the academic testing and then appeal?
